Meet and greet by Sunseekers Tours staff and transfer to your hotel.

Settle in, receive a brief orientation.

Take a city tour of Accra, visiting the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, the National Museum, W.E.B. DuBois Centre for Pan Africanism, Independence Arch and Black Star Square.
Lunch (on own account)
Visit the arts and crafts market the Arts Center. In this famous market you will find fantastic bargains for everything from beads, bronze and wood carvings to textiles, pottery, jewelry and antiques.
Return to your hotel at the end of the day.

Set off to the Shai Resource Reserve located on the grasslands of the Accra plains. The rocky outcrops and savannah grasslands are more typical of a northern landscape, making this park a rare experience to see animals so close to the capital. Go on a walking safari to view game such as kob antelope, baboons and eagles, and visit several ancestral caves located in the park. You may climb to rock shelters that provided protection for the Shai people in ancient times.
Make a stopover at a river resort on the banks of the River Volta to have lunch (on own account) and enjoy a one-hour cruise on the river.

Continue to Ho, capital of the Volta Region late afternoon.

Depart for an adventurous to the top of Mt. Gemi in Amedzofe, the highest settlement in Ghana.

Lunch (on own account)

Explore the villages and interact with people in the township before visiting a local waterfall. Return to the hotel in late afternoon and have the evening free to relax and to prepare for the next day.

Take a scenic drive to the base of Mt. Afadjato, the highest mountain in Ghana. Join local guides to scale and conquer this almost 3,000-foot mountain. The route takes you through tropical rain forest with a profusion of birds, butterflies and local plants.Then descend to the cool waters of the Tagbo Falls and explore the surrounding environment.

Lunch (on own account) and enjoy a leisurely afternoon.

Depart from Ho to Kumasi.En route visit a typical local farm and learn about cocoa, the main ingredient of chocolate and a great contributor to Ghana’s economy.

Arrive late afternoon in Kumasi, dubbed the “Garden City”. Kumasi is Ghana’s second largest city and the capital of the Ashanti Region. Here you will visit Manhyia Palace, the residence of the King of Ashanti, and the Palace Museum. Then enjoy a walk through the Central Market to explore the alleys and stalls for bargains.

Early evening, check into yourhotel.

Set off early for Northern Ghana. Stop en route at the Boabeng-Fiema Monkey Sanctuary, Ghana’s best known example of traditional African conservation and home to more than 200 Geoffrey’s Pied Colobus and 500 Campbell Mona monkeys. For more than 150 years the local community has protected these primates and making it one of the few places in Africa where one can easily view these species in large numbers. Walk along well-cleared trails and view the monkeys on the ground and in the canopy of trees. Go on a walking tour of the village where you can see monkeys and even feed them directly from your hand. Arrive late afternoonand check into motel within the Mole National Park.

Go on an evening game viewing safari in Ghana’s largest wildlife park. Considered the jewel in the crown of Ghana’s national parks, Mole is home to about 600 elephants, baboons, monkeys, monitor lizards, bushbucks, antelope and many species of birds. Relax by the motel pool and enjoy a drink as you watch the sunsetting over the waterhole.

Depart for early morning game viewing at the Mole Park.

Check out and depart for the Ashanti Region with a stop at the Kintampo waterfalls, one of the most beautiful falls in Ghana, where Ghanaians and visitors alike go for picnics and to cool off on hot days.

Arrive in Kumasi late afternoon and relax rest of the day.


Explore the nightlife of the city.

Head southwards to the Central Region. En route visit the Kakum National Park. Take a walk through one of the last remaining vestiges of old growth rain forest in West Africa. For the brave at heart, you can experience the Canopy Walkway, a series of bridges suspended about 100 feet above the forest floor with a panoramic view of the flora and fauna of the rain forest.

Continue to visit Cape Coast Castle and the West African Historical Museum. One of the more sordid moments in Ghana’s past was the role the country played in the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. This fort and others were used as prisons for slaves who were sent to plantations in the New World.

DAY 10


Breakfast and check-out
Spend the morning relaxing at the beach.
Lunch (on own account)
Depart for Accra, driving along the Atlantic coast with its many fishing villages and coconut lined beaches.
Arrive in Accra and proceed to a hotel where you will experience a farewell dinner outside the hotel.
Proceed to the airport to check in for your flight home.

  • Return southwards for an adventure at the famous Kakum Canopy walk and a tour of the Cape Coast Castle
